Humanistiska och teologiska studentkåren

At the student union, we have a wide range of committees you can get involved in! We offer everything from career services to event planning, academic oversight to language cafés. Below, we've compiled information about the various committees we have in our amazing student union. We know there can be a bit of a void after the freshman period, so why not fill that void with a fun and rewarding position? Want to learn more or interested in applying for a position? Then email: ordf@hts.lu.se

In addition to applying for any of our positions, you can also express interest in helping plan our reunion dinner for the freshman period! Plus, you can sign up to be a mentor for the upcoming freshman period in the spring. To do this, simply send an email to: novisch@hts.lu.se.

The Career Committee

What can I do with my degree? How do I get in touch with employers? How do I write a strong CV? These questions, and many more, will be answered if you choose to get involved in the Career Committee! This committee is perfect for those who want to help increase the visibility of humanities and theology graduates in the job market, gain better insight into professional life, and acquire experiences that will benefit you for life!

This year, the chair of the Career Committee is Ingrid Djupsjöbacka, and she will guide you, the members, into the world we call the job market!

Café multillingua

Hello, Hola, and Hej! Every Wednesday, HTS hosts a language café for all students! Café Multilingua, or CML, is one of the student union's most popular events, often attracting over 100 participants! As a committee member of CML, you'll be brewing coffee, serving snacks, and learning a lot about a wide variety of languages!

HTS BK

HTS BK was created in 2014 by a group of football-loving student union members. Since then, we've managed to score several goals in the student union championships, been turned down by multiple second-tier professional players, and generated more injuries than a humanities student can count—so, as you can tell, we need all the help we can get. We hold weekly practices on the finest artificial turf fields Lund municipality has to offer.

HTS BK currently consists of a dozen skilled and dedicated players and welcomes anyone who wants to kick a ball with open arms!

The Lunar Committee

Raise your cup high and cheer, friend!

The Humanities and Theology Student Union is the only student union in Lund, perhaps in the entire world, that owns land on the moon. Naturally, we celebrate this every spring with a grand ball at the AF-borgen! Behind the Lunar Festivities is our very own Lunar Committee, consisting of a chairperson (Moonbase) and several dedicated members. In this committee, you’ll have the chance to express your creativity and work hands-on with all aspects of event planning and organization. You're all welcome to join us—cheers!

The Festivities Committee

In the Festivities Committee you’ll be involved in planning all sorts of events for our members! The only limit is your creativity when it comes to what this committee can accomplish. Expect plenty of fun and festivities if you apply for this role. You'll get to organize everything from formal dinners and pub nights to Waffle Day celebrations and Easter egg hunts. This committee focuses on turning a good event into a fantastic one. Want to be part of a cheerful and energetic team? Then apply to The Festivities Committee!

Game nights

Every other Sunday, HTS hosts game nights for all our members! These evenings offer a relaxed atmosphere where both new and experienced players can meet and have fun together. The games range from classic favorites like Catan and Ticket to Ride to more strategic or party-oriented games. It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know other members and build a sense of community through the joy of gaming. Hope to see you there!

The Student Welfare Committee

The Student Welfare Committee works on matters related to students' study environment. This can range from issues like how well the ventilation works in buildings to how many study spaces the faculties provide for us students. If you're passionate about ensuring that we have a great experience during our studies, apply to The Student Welfare Committee!

The Nominations Committee

During the spring, the Nominations Committee works diligently to prepare for all the elections at our two election assemblies. In the committee, you'll collaborate with your team to identify the best candidates for various positions within the student unions. This involves conducting interviews, learning a lot about the unions, and enjoying some coffee breaks!

The Election Committee

You, the members, control the student union! How do you do that? Through the elections to the student council! This spring, all members will vote on who will represent you throughout the union. To make this process possible, we need dedicated students to help us with it. If you have a strong passion for democratic elections, apply to the Election Committee!

The Education Committee

The Education Committee works on issues related to the quality of education at the HT faculties. Last year, the committee conducted a survey on student opinions about anonymous exams. This is just the latest in a series of well-crafted reports produced by the committee, one of which has even been cited in the Swedish Parliament.

The Appreciation Committee

I believe it was Aristotle who said: “Thank you.” Therefore, we want to ensure that all student union volunteers feel properly appreciated for their time and effort. In the Appreciation Committee, you’ll be part of a team that organizes internal events for those holding positions within the union, which can include everything from laser tag and formal dinners to multi-sport competitions. The committee also ensures that the annual Christmas and summer appreciation events are held. Thank you for considering applying!
